{Notes} New Season New Clients

March has been quite busy! From {Dress in the Queen City}, to preparing for six upcoming client events in 4 different cities, to awaiting the premiere of a new wedding reality show, I can barely keep up! Since February we’ve added the following new clients: {Dawn Easter Events}, {Jeannelle Muhammad Designs}, {POLISHED} and {Something Blue}! There are several more wonderful wedding vendors who will join our HERPRESIGN™ family very soon.

As we await the arrival of cherry blossoms here in DC, I am looking forward to seeing what spring brings for our clients!

All my best,

Michelle

{Client Adventures} Couture Bridal Show

On January 31, 2009 I attended the {DC Couture Wedding Consortium’s} inaugural Couture Bridal Show at the {Stephen Decatur House}. Katie Martin owner of {Elegance & Simplicity} is the founder of the DCCWC. The upscale event featured various members of the consortium, including {Promise…for the Savvy Bride}. Jessica Fox co-owner of Promise dressed all of the models for the fashion show. Models were dressed in {Lea-Ann Belter}, {Claire Pettibone}, {Elizabeth Fillmore} and {L’ezu Atelier}. Each of the bouquets carried by the models were designed by Elegance & Simplicity.

The show began with a special networking hour for area wedding vendors and media. Just before noon brides-to-be and their guests began arriving. The buzz of the day was the 3:30PM Green Wedding Giveaway drawing. Throughout the day I was able to chat with several brides-to-be. Many of them were hopeful they would be the lucky winner of the DC Green Wedding Consortium’s 50K big giveaway. Brides-to-be enjoyed delicious cupcakes from {Cakes by Design} and delectable appetizers from {Avalon Caterers}.

By 3:29PM everyone was clamoring in anticipation of the big announcement! Katie Martin did the honors of announcing the big winners…Dana Dunne & David Jea!

Dana was the first bride-to-be to arrive at the show. Her best friend accompanied her. I left before David arrived, but I was able to congratulate Dana and warn her she’d be seeing a whole lot of me over the next 2.5 months!

All my best,

Michelle

{Notes} New Direction New Look

The past 6 weeks have been a world wind of excitement for HERPRESIGN™. We’ve made the amazing transition to exclusively serving clients in the wedding industry. In additional to our original wedding clients {Ivy Robinson Weddings & Events} and {The Healthy Bride}, we’ve added 6 new clients to the roster since the beginning of the year. I am so excited to be working with {Promise…for the Savvy Bride}, {5Senses Events and Design}, {KJS Weddings}, {Elegance & Simplicity}, {Green Orchid Events} and {Favor Events}! There is such great energy coming from our clients. I can’t wait to see how this year unfolds for each of them!

My hope is that our blog provides both helpful information and tips on how to utilize public relations tactics within your wedding business, while sparking new ideas and innovation. And of course we’ll share what we love about the wedding industry here in Washington, DC and across the country. Lastly, we want to share our passion for our clients with you. It is their dreams, goals and hard work that motivate us each and everyday.

All my best,

Michelle
