{Client News} Eat Cupcakes. Fight Hunger

More than 12 million American children will wonder if they will have food to eat by the end of the year. With unemployment rates at a two decade high, many families are making heart wrenching decisions. In an effort to help combat childhood hunger {Hello Cupcake} is participating in {Share Our Strength’s} Great American Bake Sale!

Beginning today until May 16, 2009, Hello Cupcake will give 100% of the proceeds from the sale of its “Original” flavor cupcakes to Share Our Strength to help end child hunger. All funds raised in the bake sale go directly back into the local community. If you are in Washington, DC this week be sure to stop into Hello Cupcake to help fight childhood hunger one cupcake at a time!

{Notes} SMP, Essence & a Launch Party

This week we were busy planning the launch party for {Julianne Smith’s} new customer garter collection. In the mist of party planning, client meetings and pitching efforts, two of our clients’ weddings were featured on two premiere websites! {5Senses Events Design} was featured on {Style Me Pretty}, you can see the wedding {here}. {Essence} featured a {FAVOR Events} wedding this week on their website, check it out {here}. {Client Adventures} My First ABC Meeting

On Tuesday night I attended my first {Association of Bridal Consultants} meeting. I joined Jeannelle Muhammad of {Jeannelle Muhammad Designs} for a night of good food and company at the {Hilton Embassy Row} in Dupont Circle. Monica S. Browne of {Uniquely Designed Affairs} organized the meeting and swag bags. The bags included: a body mist from {KLEAN}, chocolate leaves from {Art by Chocolate}, note cards from {Carla David Design} and sparkling water from {Saratoga}.

{Client Adventures} POLISHED Shoot Pt. 1

On May 3, we coordinated and attended the photo shoot for our client {POLISHED}. The shoot was an absolute success. The session was held at {Promise…for the Savvy Bride} in Bethesda, MD.

Shannon of {Sevan Photography} took photos of the models in many different styles, including professional, casual wear, cocktail and bridal attire.

POLISHED owner Robin Fisher styled each model beautifully. It was exciting to see the thought and detail she put into each look. Assisting Robin, were Karla Ayala and Christiana Green, who put as much attention into making the styles unique and chic.

Make-up artist, Freddie, did a fantastic job of enhancing the model’s beauty with her personalized touch.

The photo shoot was filled with music, energy and fun. Models Chimere, Danielle and Harriett displayed the attire with grace and style. We can’t wait for the photos to get back so we can share them with everyone.
